As my mother language is Greek, my publications are sometimes written in Greek and sometimes in English, depending on who they are addressed to. (I have no intention of translating them).

Linux

I am an enthusiastic user of Linux systems and have been using them exclusively in all areas for almost two decades.

Mathematics

Mathematics and rational thinking have always been the mainstays and shaped my everyday thinking. The special and general theory of relativity, with all its implications, as necessary for its understanding, has for years been my special preoccupation. Recently, game theory has redefined, in an unexpected way, the value of mathematics in my everyday thinking.

Programming

I loved programming even before the emergence of personal computers. But it has always been a means, not an end in itself. So, developing applications with SQL (with postgresql), C++, lua etc. has been occasional.

Games

Until very recently I was a fan of games, video games, but mostly, board games. For a couple of decades I was an active chess player and for a decade a bridge player. Chess is something Ι now play occasionally. I have given up bridge for good.
